Hi everyone,

We are interested in navigating the time trend of webs having a cookie Consent banner. Specifically, we would like to know the proportion of websites that have such banner from 2014-2024. Is there a good way to check a large volume of websites? Thanks.

In the 2022 Web Almanac Privacy chapter there is a section on [Consent Management Platforms](https://almanac.httparchive.org/en/2022/privacy#consent-management-platforms). The [query](https://github.com/HTTPArchive/almanac.httparchive.org/blob/main/sql/2022/privacy/number_of_websites_using_each_cmp.sql) can be updated to retrieve the latest data for 2024.

However, keep in mind that the tests are run from the US where (AFAIK) cookie consent is not a legal requirement. Therefore the results are likely to be under-reported.
