I’ve been following this project for a while and this is my first topic here.
First of all, congrats on this awesome project! It’s amazing and I really appreciate your work.
My first attempt earlier today was to find some popular websites that are using a responsive meta tag but don’t have an HTML 5 doctype. To me, that’s a bit contradictory and I was eager to find out the results.
So I wrote a very rough query to get the results and found out e.g. that whatsapp.com doesn’t even have a declared doctype at this time.
Here’s my tweet w/ the query & results.
SELECT url, rank FROM [httparchive:runs.2018_01_01_pages] WHERE NOT doctype="html" AND meta_viewport CONTAINS "width=device-width" GROUP BY url, rank ORDER BY rank desc
